On My Heart
God doesn’t talk to me.
Not that you would be surprised to know that.
But every great once in a while, he does put something on my heart. It’s just a little tug, but somehow… I just know.
So, I was a little sad when I felt that tug last October to quit blogging for a season. I wasn’t sure why He wanted me to stop, though I could name a few good reasons. Somehow, I was sure it was temporary.
It’s been good taking a break. I think God uses these quiet breaks in our life to work on us. Perhaps the stillness allows us to see other hearts around us, shattered, injured, wounded, mourning, crying out to the ONE who can heal them.
My heart is full.

My mom and step-dad are going on a trip. We had a big send-off dinner for them last night. Today, they finished packing their bags and got on the first of three planes to take them to a very far away country. It’s a long way to go for a surgery, but we’ve been praying for so long that my step-dad will find a way to healing. It’s a frightening endeavor, but it must be done.
At the end of this journey, we pray that God will bring them home, healed and whole, loved and cherished.

In the midst of the planning for this trip, God tugged at my heart again. He showed me a way to love my folks from a long, long way away.
Don’t ask me how my heart hears Him, but somehow it does. I’m so glad I felt that tug to quit blogging months ago. Today, God is letting me use my blog for something really special.
For the duration of their trip, I will be posting pictures of home for them. Along with the pictures, God is supplying a verse. Not sure how it will all work out, but I trust Him. I know He has a great love to share and words far better than my own.

I hope you’ll all feel free to join in this adventure. Enjoy the pictures and verses, and please pray for my folks as they travel and God brings them home.
So glad to be back here at the blog…,
