I feel that I can totally relate with you on many aspects from your view on politicians to family fun.
I have been saying for years to my (ever nagging) friends & family that my kids (and myself) do not need to be tied down to multiple organized activites. I find too many children these days do not have imaginations or atleast know how to use them. It's incredibly sad. I encourage "free play" at any oppotunity and because of this I think my children thrive.

This week my girls are very interested in their Barbies/little people and are acting out various scenerios with them. I love eavesdropping on their tiny talks :)Lots of Fun with My FaMiLyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17175105240655623060noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045399108483976028.post-64411973901805665502010-11-11T20:56:43.431-05:002010-11-11T20:56:43.431-05:00My kids have been enjoying the nice weather, too. ...My kids have been enjoying the nice weather, too. They've been "building" a house out of dirt, stones, rocks, and holes in the yard. It's coming along nicely, too.Suannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03768381960849873308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045399108483976028.post-45467906790468219722010-11-11T13:51:26.403-05:002010-11-11T13:51:26.403-05:00I'm loving these comments! She would leave a room and 5 minutes later her "hair" would still be leaving. :)jennanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045399108483976028.post-30692559230179276892010-11-10T21:27:55.484-05:002010-11-10T21:27:55.484-05:00We ditched school today too and went to the zoo!! ...We ditched school today too and went to the zoo!! It was wonderful :). This week with their "free play" time my kiddos have built a rain catcher in the back yard next to their not-so-secret secret hideout where they have stashed all of their treasures they found while we raked leaves. They have made signs for their indoor secret hideout (mine and Gabe's closet). They have visited the beach and the aquarium, dressed up of course in mommy and daddy's clothes and shoes. They have also disappeared upstairs to their rooms where they play all kinds of stuff with their toys. This is all of course mostly Trinity's ideas but Keenan (2yo) totally enjoys playing along and usually really gets into her pretend play!! I sooooo wish we still lived back home, I would love to be able to get together with you guys for play dates!!!Ericahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11479733639935141604noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2045399108483976028.post-50465387469015521832010-11-10T20:20:30.499-05:002010-11-10T20:20:30.499-05:00It's amazing what kids can come up with when t...It's amazing what kids can come up with when the tv and video games are off~! It would also be amazing what us "parents" can come up with to do if we allowed ourselves to go without our electric "gadgets" for a day or two~!Diannanoreply@blogger.com
